 The Fruit Bowl

Many of these fruits grew in my Ama’s garden in Mexico when I was a girl. She brought home seeds and cuttings from everywhere she traveled, and our garden became a little world of its own.

 Floriography Bouquets

In the language of flowers, every bouquet carries a message. Each of these little bouquets says something, so you can give one without saying a word.

 From the Garden

Not everything in a garden is grown for beauty, but I find the vegetables just as lovely as the flowers. These are painted in honor of the garden that fed us.

 The Flower Market

There’s nothing like leaving the flower market with your arms full. These are the blooms I’d bring home every week if I could.

 Garden Visitors

As a girl I’d follow anything with wings through my Ama’s garden. These are some of the little visitors that made it feel alive.

  The Silly Ducks

All summer I watched the ducks at the park waddle around like they owned the place. So I dressed them up for the occasionn.

 The Pantry Shelf

I find the most beauty in the little everyday things. A jar of honey, a salt shaker, a slice of something sweet on the kitchen table.

 Sunday Drive

Some cars aren’t for getting anywhere fast. These are for windows down, the long way home, and nowhere to be.

 Birth Flowers

Birth flowers are where so much of my work began. Every month has its own flower, and I love the idea of a bloom that belongs only to you.

 Country Neighbors

These are the neighbors you’d meet on a slow walk down a country road. A few of them were suggested by you in the comments, and I’m so glad you did.

  Catch of the Day

I grew up an hour from the sea, where fresh fish was never hard to find. I’ve wanted to paint them for a long time, and here they finally are.
